Renesas DFAE Team Visits THINKANTECH for Hands-On Technical Training

Since the establishment of the “Renesas–THINKANTECH Joint Laboratory for Wide-bandgap Semi-Digital Power Solutions,” both parties have leveraged their respective technical expertise and extensive industry experience to drive breakthroughs in digital power technologies.

Together, Renesas and THINKANTECH have successfully developed a range of high-efficiency, high power density digital power solutions, accelerating technological innovation while meeting evolving industry demands.

Two-Day Hands-On Training Program

To further enhance customer support capabilities and advance the joint laboratory initiative, the Renesas DFAE team conducted a two-day on-site training program:

August 15: THINKANTECH Shenzhen Qianhai Bay Laboratory August 16: THINKANTECH Nanjing Xiaolongwan Laboratory

Comprehensive Training Content

The THINKANTECH R&D team delivered two in-depth training sessions combining technical lectures and hands-on demonstrations, covering:

1. Key Circuit Design (3-Phase 5kW PFC Solution)

Three-phase half-bridge topology Three-phase input voltage sensing High-voltage DC bus sampling Three-phase inductor current sensing Three-phase PWM drive circuitry

2. Control Algorithms

Phase-Locked Loop (PLL) synchronization Decoupled voltage-current closed-loop control Protection logic implementation

3. Application Scenarios

Front-end systems for variable frequency drives (VFDs) Industrial power supply front-end Charging infrastructure front-end Energy storage system front-end

Live Demonstration Highlights

During the hands-on session, THINKANTECH engineers demonstrated two key operating modes:

Rectification mode Off-grid inverter mode

The system delivered outstanding performance with an efficiency of 99% and a Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) less than 5%.

These results highlight the solution’s exceptional efficiency, stability, and reliability.

The Renesas DFAE team actively participated in the demonstrations, closely observing system operation and engaging in detailed technical discussions.
